hi, ppl. Did everyone enjoy their superb long holiday? Muz have eaten tons of new year tidbits, learnt new gambling skills (like mahjong or new card game), met up with relatives and friends and also gain some pounds around your waist rite? hee hee~~ I've truly enjoyed my CNY despite all the proj and assignments that i've to do.(so sad, it's the CNY season and yet i have proj work to do..) This year is a really special new year for me because Shun's 21st bday falls on the second day of CNY. We celebrated it in a different way as compared to previous years. Shall talk abt that later. First, let start with the NY eve..

~~New Year Eve~~
Went to sch in the afternoon for proj discussion and class. It's new year eve and i've to be bound in sch for the whole afternoon. Afterwhich i went home for my reunion dinner. My reunion dinner wasn't tt excited as wat other ppl had. We had steamboat as usual and the four of us (my dad, mum, brother and me) sat ard the table for the meal. It's a little boring cos there's only the four of us, reunion dinner is supposed to be an enjoyable time where the whole family (with relatives and elders) gathered together for a family feast. However, either my relatives lived too far away or they had their own reunion dinner at home. After dinner, i was forced to carry on with my proj findings. (so pathetic for me.. still have to work on new yr eve) Watched the channel 8's counting program and i'm so disappointed with them. Its not interesting at all, nth special. And very soon later, the clock struck twelve and it's CNY. Time for us to eat, play, get ang bao and grow fat.. whahhahaa

~~First day of CNY~~
Woke up super early, like 6++a.m. Waited for my aunt to fetch us to our paternal grandpa's house. My father is a malaysian and that means that most of my paternal's side relatives are in JB, malaysia. Its part of my family tradition to spend our first day of CNY at my paternal grandpa's house in Msia. Reached msia ard 8++a.m and slacked all the way. There's nth much for us to do except to paly poker cards and i'm not in a bit of interest to gamble in ringgits. It does not appeal to me. Then, as usual we had our vegetarian lunch. Vegetarian food ain't that bad man, some of it really look and taste exactly like non-vegetarian food. Yummy yummy..
Slacked for the rest of the day b4 we left for home at night.

~~ Second day of CNY cum Shun's bday~~
Second day of CNY is always spent on visiting my mother's relatives. Usually, we spent the whole day visiting, however, this year, we only went a few of their houses. It's simply too tired to travel here and there. Went over to my eldest and third uncle's house first. They lived in the same block and same level, hence, it's always so convenient for us to visit them. One trip and we cover two households. Had our lunch there b4 proceeding to my eldest aunty's house. As i was rushing for time, i've decided to go off after visiting my eldest aunty. Shun came over to fetch me, my dad and my brother home. Headed back home to get the present that i've prepared for Shun, and then left for Shun's house. It's Shun's bday today and we actually have no plan for it.. hahahaa.. But Shun is so lucky that his same age cousin - Jason called all his relatives to Shun's house to celebrate for him. He even bought Shun's favourite Mango Ice cream cake from Swensens. All his other relatives came along as time drew nearer to the evening. We ordered pizza hut and kfc combo for the party and his sis's bf even brought a bottle of wine for him as his bday present. Its cool man, having all your loved ones to celebrate your bday, especially ur 21st bday. I feel so happy for Shun that he got so much blessings from all his loved ones on this special day. It's definately a special day for me too as it's one of the rare occasion that i met most of his relatives (though i met them b4, but wasn't that familiar with each other) I believed his Mum is more happy than anyone else cos she actually helped in the celebration of her son's major bday. Everyone was happy and the mood was just so great. The wonderful food that we had, the bond that they hold, the happiness that everyone showed on their face. I feel part of them, and it's so great to be there.

Shun decided to send me home while everyone else left for their home. We decide to drive his sis's bf home too. We went to geylang for supper cos he lived near that area. Wanted to eat beancurd but the famous "yong he tou jia" was closed and left with limited choice, we went to have gui lin gao.
